Order a copy of a probate that has already been granted

1 - Search the Probate Register

The Probate Register provides basic details about wills and grants of representation issued in Ireland since 1992. 

For records before 1992 visit the National Archive website.

2 - Fill out the probate order form

You will need the record number, the date of grant and the Probate Office that granted the probate for the next steps.

Fill out the Probate Office Order form.

3 - Get a cheque or postal order to pay the fee

  • Solicitors can pay using stamped court fees.
  • Members of the public can pay by postal/money order or cheque made payable to the Courts Service.
