High Court notice – long vacation 2025
Practitioners are advised of the following arrangements during the Long Vacation 2025.
A High Court judge will be available every day throughout the vacation to hear urgent applications only.
If you have such a matter, please contact the Four Courts at 01 888 6000 to make arrangements with the High Court Duty Registrar. Applications will not be listed before the vacation judge without certification from the Duty Registrar that the matter is sufficiently urgent. Please be prepared to provide, in writing by email, an explanation of the urgency and the reasons why the application must be heard immediately or promptly.
All sittings before the vacation judge will take place Monday to Friday in Court 6, Four Courts at , unless otherwise advised by the Duty Registrar.
Bail and Extradition
In addition, the bail list will sit in Cloverhill Courthouse on the following dates:
August 2025: 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, 28
September 2025: 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 12, 16, 17, 18, 19, 23, 24, 25, 26, 30
October 2025: 1, 2, 3
The extradition list will sit in Court 20, Criminal Courts of Justice, on:
August 2025: 6, 13, 20, 27
September 2025: 3, 10, 17, 24
October 2025: 1
Legal Diary
The legal diary will be published on the Courts Service website on each day that the Central Office is open during the long vacation.
