After your hearing
Once the hearing ends, a few things may happen
The decision
- The judge or County Registrar may give a decision straight away
- In some cases, the decision will be given later and sent to you
Court order or judgment
You'll receive a written version of the decision called a court order or judgment
If you're unsure
- Ask the court registrar to explain what happens next
- Or contact the court office afterwards
Appealing a decision
- If you're unhappy with the outcome, you may be able to appeal
- There are strict time limits, so speak to your solicitor or court staff as soon as possible
